Some background: the astrology of the past, present, and future
In January 2020, Saturn and Pluto conjoined at 18º Capricorn and the echo of this conjunction is still rippling today. This rare conjunction comes about every 30-ish years at moments when it’s time to drastically and permanently change existing systems and structures in the world at large and in our individual lives. And because it was in Capricorn, it packed a herculean punch that permanently changed our relationship to what we had historically thought we would always be able to rely on. Two months later, in March 2020, Saturn entered Aquarius and we all descended into social, systemic, financial and bodily uncertainty via a pandemic the likes of which none of us had ever seen before.
In March 2023, Saturn left Aquarius and entered Pisces. Weeks later, Pluto entered Aquarius and the Aquarian torch was passed from Saturn to Pluto. 2020’s Saturn-Pluto conjunction had alerted us to something that had been broken beyond repair, and Pluto in Aquarius was the first step into the future that we will find ourselves fully immersed in in 2026. Pluto in Aquarius drastically shifts the trends of our time, the deep and transformative work we are doing, and the way that Aquarian themes show up in the world.
Over the following 20 months Pluto whipped in and out of Aquarius, giving us a sample of what the new Aquarian era was all about, and at the end of 2024, Pluto settled into Aquarius for the long haul. It’ll be there until 2044.
In 2025, an even rarer conjunction manifested, this time between Saturn and Neptune. Illusions were shattered, cushioning was ripped away, and rose-colored glasses were stolen; this conjunction perfects in February 2026. 2025 was a hard year for many of us largely because of this conjunction. Throughout 2025 Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all weaved in and out of new signs and the signs they’d already been in for two, seven, and 14 years, respectively. In 2025 none of these three planets settled into the signs they’ll be in for years to come. 2026 is different. In 2026, Saturn and Neptune both complete their orbit through the zodiac and find themselves in Aries, the first sign, once more. Uranus enters Gemini for the first time since the 1940s, and Pluto remains in Aquarius, a realm that, before the last few years, Pluto hadn’t seen since the 1700s.
All in all, this is a BIG time in the cosmos, and therefore it’s a big time on Earth. I’ve designed this class specifically to explore the fascinating evolution of our world and our lives, in a way that is honest and direct, interesting and inspiring, and gets your thoughts percolating.
The philosophy behind the method
We’re all human beings and we’re all here to experience the world as human beings. We exist at the crossroads, the intersection between the physical and the immaterial, the relational and the individual, and the earth and the cosmos. My work is about honoring the grand painting of the human experience rather than attempting to dull or ascend beyond the breadth of it. I’m interested in supporting people (and other living beings!) through the difficulties and triumphs of being human (or animal!) and supporting our endless (r)evolution via astrology, philosophy, poetics, art, aesthetic expression, critique, authenticity, and simple sensory, social and intellectual joys, all while bringing the mystery of the intangible and the cosmos down to earth with curiosity and respect.
When we’re fearful, stuck, or overwhelmed, the key antidote is often grounding. Groundedness is the basic and very human desire to feel rooted, safe, and connected to the world around us. When we move through life with two feet on the ground and a strong, ever-evolving connection to ourselves, others, the earth and existence itself, we begin to feel more confident and fluid, more capable of moving through time and space. Things will always change and evolve and astrology is the incredible art of tracking that change and evolution, and using the messages we greet from the heavens to make life feel richer, warmer, smoother, or at least easier to make sense of.
The goal of The Future is to make the future feel less scary in a world that is kind of hellbent on making everything feel scary. I am disinterested in literally or figuratively capitalizing on fear and our natural desire to quell it. Instead, I want to offer you a comfy nest where together we can explore the ebbs and flows of life and make it all a little easier on each other.
“What specifically will we get from The Future?”
Clear, digestible information on what the new world will look like (even literally!) and what we can expect to see from each individual astrological transit in the REAL WORLD (eg.: Saturn in Aries/the first half of the zodiac, Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, Pluto in Aquarius… and how they’ll show up practically, socially and intellectually IRL)
Predictions for the new wave in all kinds of industries – what’s changing in media, entertainment, fashion, interior design, marketing and branding, graphic design, art, the internet, IRL spaces, food and beverage, and more – and what you can do to speak to people during this time and be a trendsetter instead of a trend follower
Minimal spiritual jargon, and lots of down-to-earth and slightly poeticized philosophy
Perspective shifts and info that alchemize uncertainty into curiosity, overwhelm into groundedness, tension into confidence, and stuckness into inspiration
Insights specifically for each of the zodiac signs – what each sign can expect from the atmosphere the barrage of new transits depicts, your role in the new world, what to focus on, what to be careful with and what to lean into
